We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Wi-Fi software connectivity team. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance Wi-Fi software for Amazon's consumer products. Optimize Wi-Fi performance and power consumption for our connectivity platforms. Collaborate with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions. Work with cross-functional software teams to create unique features leveraging Wi-Fi for next-gen Amazon products. Provide technical support to resolve customer connectivity issues. About the Team:
Our team crafts revolutionary consumer devices, including Fire TV and Echo Family products, that consistently lead Amazon sales. We thrive on collaboration, innovation, and long-term thinking. Here, you can learn and impart knowledge on pushing the boundaries of what's possible with technology by writing solid code and designing scalable solutions. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in the design or architecture of systems. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C# with a focus on object-oriented design. Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including full software development life cycle. Hands-on experience with IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols and related debugging tools. Experience in Android and Linux development, specifically at the kernel level. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Wi-Fi solutions from major chipset vendors. Strong understanding of TCP/IP internals and networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.). This position includes working cooperatively with team members, adhering to standards of excellence, and following all applicable laws and company policies. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on market location and job-related experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
