As a
Senior Storage Hardware Development Engineer , your focus will be on SSD NAND technology, where you will leverage your expertise in component characterization, media management, and system integration to enhance reliability and performance across various use cases. You will spearhead NAND development initiatives for custom solid-state devices in collaboration with internal engineers and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Define NAND specifications and develop a roadmap to enhance Nitro SSDs, driving advancements in performance and reliability. Lead the integration of NAND technology into Nitro SSDs across diverse platforms and foster innovation to improve validation processes. Develop strategies to boost SSD performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while prioritizing customer needs. Oversee the health, performance, and reliability of a global fleet of millions of SSDs using data-driven insights for proactive operational management. Ensure high manufacturing yields and effective screening processes to uphold quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional external partners to deliver advanced storage solutions that meet the evolving demands of the cloud ecosystem. A Day in the Life: Lead the end-to-end integration of advanced NAND technology into Nitro SSDs on various platforms. Define NAND requirements and specifications, choosing the optimal manufacturing approach and validation methodology. Monitor a global fleet of SSDs to enhance AWS service performance and availability through large-scale data analysis. About You: You possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on NAND characterization and development experience. Preferred candidates will have at least 7 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of state-of-the-art 3D NAND flash memory technologies.
