Position Details: Title: Java Developer Location: Charlotte, NC / Plano, TX Duration: 12+ months contract Experience Required: 10+ years Type: W2 Only Job Description: Note: Java Backend Developers with strong experience in Banking & Financial Services, especially with security skills like Spring Security, OAuth, Authentication. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, modify, and maintain applications in Financial Crimes technology to meet business goals. Design, code, test, debug, and document programs; support activities for application maintenance. Collaborate with business partners to define system requirements, typically requiring 10+ years of experience. Recommend technological innovations based on deep understanding of business needs and environments. Provide data insights, assess technological impacts, and participate in full development lifecycle. Contribute to story refinement, requirement definition, and effort estimation. Perform proof of concept, set up CI/CD pipelines, and handle application support, upgrades, and change management. Demonstrate data sourcing, analysis, and modeling skills for large-scale financial data initiatives. Work with Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance. Partner with business to develop and sustain change management plans. Analyze current processes, develop future approaches, and facilitate implementation. Follow Agile practices and ensure compliance with enterprise change standards. Required Skills: 10+ years in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, MVC, Tomcat, Weblogic, UNIX Shell scripting, Oracle 11g, Data analysis. Experience with AngularJS, Web services, Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Autosys or similar scheduling tools. Proven ability to develop solutions for web applications with large user bases and complex data. Experience in J2EE architecture, SPA frameworks, multi-tier application development. Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, data virtualization, and performance tuning. Experience with TDD, JUnit, and engaging with business stakeholders. Ability to work remotely with offshore teams and implement best practices in upgrades. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and change management. Unix shell scripting skills and effective communication skills. Must Have: Experience with JDK 8 to JDK 17 migration.
