Join our team as a Network Information Technology Specialist (NF-04) where you will play a critical role in managing and delivering a wide range of network services. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are eager to take on exciting challenges in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and recurring assignments in the planning and delivery of network services.
Identify and resolve network issues through effective analytical methods.
Contribute to network system design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance.
Manage network architecture, topology, and protocols to ensure optimum performance.
Evaluate existing methods and suggest improvements for enhanced efficiency.
Communicate about new and emerging technologies and industry trends.
Handle network service requests promptly and effectively.
Apply information security and assurance policies and practices consistently.
Requirements:
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required upon appointment.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements.
Satisfactory employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Potential one-year probationary period.
Ability to obtain a Tier 3 background investigation.
Flexible to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and various hours as needed.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations to address technical emergencies.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in fields such as computer science, information systems management, or mathematics; or 2 years of higher-level graduate education (24 semester hours); or 3 years of specialized experience including network installations and troubleshooting.
Ability to obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification within 6 months.
Possess or obtain an Information Assurance baseline security certification (Security+ or higher) within 6 months, per DoD 8570.01-M, Level II.
Two years of recent experience with Cisco network switch equipment in an enterprise environment.
High qualification criteria include at least 5 years of IT work experience and experience in a hotel environment.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
