Overview:

GovCIO is seeking a skilled Journeyman System Administrator with an active Secret clearance to join our dynamic team. This position is available for fully remote work, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical IT services and solutions that enhance government operations. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain smooth operation of computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware in various configurations. Monitor system performance, maintain system integrity, and implement necessary upgrades or changes. Collaborate with support teams, help desks, and customers to resolve technical issues efficiently. Document new methods and procedures for network/system operations to streamline processes. Plan and coordinate transitions of environments to new technologies, ensuring minimal disruption. Administer and secure computer networks and related computing environments to protect vital data and hardware. Conduct regular analysis and preparation of documentation for operational instructions. Write or modify scripts to automate administrative tasks and resolve performance issues. Identify opportunities for improvement in system and network configurations and provide recommendations accordingly. Qualifications: High School diploma with 6 to 9 years of system administration experience or related field. Must possess an active Secret clearance and be able to acquire and maintain DEA suitability. About GovCIO:

The anticipated salary range for this position is USD $71,150.00 - USD $98,500.00 per year, based on factors including experience, education, and market location.
