What You'll Do We seek a self-directed, analytical Senior Data Scientist with 5+ years of experience to work on core optimization and bidding logic for our Nexxen DSP. Your work will influence bidding, winning, and optimizing impressions in real-time programmatic advertising. This role is based in New York City , with a hybrid schedule (three days in-office, two days remote). Daily responsibilities include: Designing, implementing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models for bidding, pacing, and KPI prediction (Click, Action, Viewability, etc.). Analyzing large-scale behavioral and performance data using Spark (Scala/PySpark), SQL, and Python. Navigating and improving existing complex codebases. Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to define problems and deliver solutions. Communicating insights effectively through technical documentation and stakeholder presentations. What You'll Bring Masters in a quantitative field such as Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related. 2+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning, preferably in high-scale, real-time environments. Proficiency in machine learning techniques (classification, regression, evaluation metrics), especially tree-based models like XGBoost. Experience with large, complex legacy codebases and production system modifications. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Experience with Scala/Apache Spark for distributed data processing and machine learning at scale. Excellent communication skills to synthesize and present technical insights. Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable to fast-paced industries. At Nexxen, we value diversity and collective contribution.
