Decide and disseminate solutions to meet and satisfy customer needs. Coordinate with management, Dispatchers, customers, and fellow employees to fulfill customer orders.Maintains a viable relationship with Management, Dispatchers, customers, and fellow employees to ensure customers 'needs are met at all timesComplete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under State and Federal Laws and Regulations.Provides accurate accident, safety and various other related reporting as required. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods by completing and post safety inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order. Report vehicle defects, incidents, traffic violations or damage to the trucks, trailers, and/or equipment immediately.Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisorEmployee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland policy and procedure.Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained.Must meet performance expectations.Must complete all duties as assigned.Deliver products safely and professionally with exceptional customer serviceLoad and deliver propane or fuel while following Parkland's Safety standardsEnsure electronic and daily trip logs are up to date and submitted dailyMaintain up-to-date understanding of TDG, WHIMIS and required trainingPhysical Demands:Regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, bend, climb stairs and ladderRegularly required to lift, pull, push, and carryTasks are performed both inside and outside and may include exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions, vapors/fumes/chemicals, and noise for extended periods of timeMust be able to maintain DOT Medical CardRequirements:Valid Class A CDLTanker, Hazmat endorsements preferred (not required at time of application, but required at time of hire)Current DOT Medical Card required at time of hireClean driving recordTWIC preferred, but not requiredMust be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background checkPrevious commercial driving experience preferredPositive attitude and a strong focus on providing exceptional customer serviceClean Commercial abstract in good standingProven track record of safe driving practicesSafety at ParklandWe are committed to ensuring a safe work environment that protects our employees, customers, and the environment.
