Required Cardiovascular Case Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR band. Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management. Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy skills/experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips - no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips - no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA. Experience with Surgical drains required. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Previous charge experience preferred. Cerner experience required. Teaching hospital experience preferred. Level I Trauma experience preferred. Description: Position requires working in a Medical Cardiac specialty. Shifts will be 3x12 days. The average daily census on the unit is 38 patients. The clinician will work every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted, and locals are welcome to apply. Candidates may float within scope to meet facility needs. Pre-approved time off should ideally not exceed five days. The client may call off up to 36 hours during the thirteen-week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. Special requirements include experience in accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, and more. Patient diagnoses in this unit include chest pain, heart failure, and various cardiac conditions. Telemetry monitoring is essential, both on the unit and remotely. Candidates must possess the ability to manage various cardiac and vasoactive drips. Candidates will be required to handle post-operative patients from surgery. Participation in interdisciplinary support services will be part of the role.
