Job Description Job Description Description : With facilities in Northern, Central, and Southern California, Muir Wood is a residential and outpatient treatment program designed for teen boys and girls, ages 12-17, with mental health and substance use disorders. In our safe, comfortable, and structured environments, our compassionate clinicians help teens explore and process sensitive issues while learning to manage their lives in productive ways. We provide high-quality Joint Commission-accredited residential treatment, creating an environment where teens and their families feel cared-for, valued, and engaged. Our academic program is a verified Supplementary Education Program. We are in-network with most major insurance carriers, making our exceptional brand of teen treatment accessible to as many families as possible. Our guiding philosophy emphasizes kindness and compassion over confrontation and control. The Outreach Manager is responsible for the overall clinical outreach and business development of Muir Wood Teen Treatment (the “Company”), which includes developing relationships with new referral sources, maintaining strong relationships with active referral sources, and rekindling partnerships with “cold” referral sources. The Outreach Manager also collaborates in the Company’s ongoing development of business development plans with professional referents, coordinating referral leads with the admissions team, hosting dinners / events regularly, participating in conferences, and acting as a liaison / ambassador of Muir Wood’s brand to the treatment community. Requirements : Essential Functions and Responsibilities : 1. Market treatment services to referral sources such as behavioral health hospitals, Emergency Departments and hospitals, treatment centers, therapists, psychiatrists, interventionists, educational consultants, schools, clergy, community organizations, and other relevant agencies. 2. Travel within a defined geographic area to identify and follow-up on leads, establish referral sources, and determine potential referral needs. 3. Participate in quarterly meetings to coordinate and implement Outreach activities and assist in developing business development plans 4. Attend community workshops, seminars and conferences to promote Muir Wood’s services. This often involves working an exhibit booth and coordinating related dinner / marketing events. 5. Keep current on behavioral health industry trends, competitive marketing strategies, referral source needs, and other future opportunities. Maintain and enhance knowledge of substance use and mental health disorder treatment needs and trends by consulting with program staff and attending conferences and seminars. 6. Support and emulate superior customer service standards internally and externally. 7. Maintain clean, updated records of referral sources and activities in Muir Wood’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. 8. Maintain hygienic records of travel entertainment expenses within Muir Wood’s expense tracking system, in-line with the Company’s TE policy. 9. Schedule and facilitate tours with referents of Muir Wood’s residential and outpatient facilities (especially with professional referral sources). 10. Plan and facilitate (in collaboration with Muir Wood’s clinical team) quarterly CEU educational events for therapists in defined market areas. 11. Report to Chief Operating Officer on proposed marketing budget, strategy, and conference schedule. 12. Assist treatment team and clinical case managers in discharge planning as needed. Also assist admissions team with referral outs to preferred treatment providers (as needed) and liaison with these identified treatment providers for reciprocal referrals. 13. Weekly meeting with Chief Operating Officer to review outreach activities, goals, strategies, and KPIs. 14. Meet all required activity, qualified leads and KPI’s as outlined in the “Performance-Driven Outreach Compensation Plan” document. 15. Other duties as necessary and designated by the “Company” Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, marketing, communications, or related discipline preferred. Master’s degree with clinical background (or equivalent in prior experience) preferred. At least two years of experience in marketing or outreach within the behavioral health industry strongly preferred. Salary Range : 100,00-$120,000 annually with bonus eligibility
