The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate, simplify, and accelerate Microsoft's presence across the DIB landscape. This expansive network includes over 100,000 organizations specializing in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity, and more—all united in their support of Federal Agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense and other mission-based organizations. Our team is dedicated to empowering these contractors throughout their digital transformation journey— from envisioning new possibilities to delivering secure, scalable solutions that drive mission outcomes, elevate customer experience, and fuel Microsoft's growth. The DIB OU will manage and accelerate strategic and major DIB accounts across Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) in the Americas, while enabling growth across other OUs and SME&C. As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will empower customers to achieve their goals through their investments in Microsoft technology. You will guide technical discussions to help customers unlock their solutions' full potential, identifying resolutions to obstacles in success projects. Lead the modernization of customer data estates using Microsoft's cloud-native services by designing and deploying secure, scalable architectures with Azure Data Services, Synapse, Fabric, and Purview. Align data platform strategies with mission outcomes, especially in regulated and classified environments. Support commercial defense contractors and federal agencies through tailored data solutions, integrating Zero Trust principles, data governance, and compliance frameworks such as ITAR, CMMC, and FedRAMP. Ensure data security across GCC, GCCH, and sovereign cloud environments, collaborating with security CSAs to deliver Purview, Information Protection, and Insider Risk Management capabilities. Proficiency in opportunity identification, business acumen, and operational excellence. Lead architecture whiteboarding sessions and live demonstrations. Additional Information
