The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a key executive role, reporting directly to the CEO. The CTO is responsible for defining and leading the technology strategy, ensuring the development and delivery of innovative, high-quality software solutions. The CTO oversees all technical aspects of the company, collaborates with other executives, and ensures the company stays at the forefront of technological advancements.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. Technology Strategy and Leadership

Define and execute the company’s technology vision. Identify emerging technologies and trends. Collaborate with the CPO, COO, and stakeholders to align strategies. Develop and monitor yearly plans and budgets for the Technology Office and R&D.

Software Development and Delivery

Adopt modern development technologies and methodologies. Establish quality assurance and testing frameworks. Ensure compliance with industry standards and data security regulations.

Innovation and R&D

Lead research and development initiatives. Foster a culture of innovation. Build partnerships with technology providers and academic institutions.

Technical Team Leadership

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technical team. Develop a strong technical talent pipeline. Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with the COO for operational support. Partner with the CPO to translate user requirements into technical deliverables. Engage with end users, partners, and stakeholders for technical guidance.

Risk Management and Security

Identify and mitigate technical risks. Implement best practices for cybersecurity. Establish protocols for disaster recovery and incident management.

Qualities We Value Extensive experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in software development and the Singapore government domain. Strong expertise in software architecture, development methodologies, and IT infrastructure design (cloud and on-premise). Proven track record of driving innovation and delivering scalable, high-quality technology solutions. Deep understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. Excellent leadership and team-building skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
