Vice President of Finance
Location:

M-F; 9AM-5PM;

Role Summary
The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and capital management. While this role does not carry the formal CFO title, it is structured to handle many of the core responsibilities typically associated with a CFO, including financial strategy, capital efficiency, and investor support. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a candidate who can operate strategically while still building core infrastructure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Partner with the COO and executive team to align financial operations with company goals Build and manage financial models for growth, risk planning, and project feasibility Support capital raise processes, including materials preparation and investor communications
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes Develop internal dashboards and KPI tracking to support decision-making Conduct scenario planning to evaluate capital allocation and growth strategies
Financial Operations & Controls
Oversee accounting, cash flow, and internal controls Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements Implement and improve financial systems for scalability (e.g., ERP, BI tools)
Capital Management & Lender Relations
Support debt financing strategy, including lender sourcing, negotiation, and reporting Improve capital stack structure and cost of capital over time Prepare reporting for banks, investors, and financial sponsors
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, construction, and development teams on financial alignment Collaborate with external accountants, legal, and insurance partners Provide financial insight for project bids, contract reviews, and pricing strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred) 7+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership, ideally within construction, real estate development, or capital-intensive industries Deep experience in FP&A, budgeting, and financial reporting Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis skills Ability to manage across multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment Experience with institutional capital, debt financing, or investor reporting is a plus

This role is structured with the potential to evolve into a Chief Financial Officer position as the company grows and establishes institutional capital partnerships. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in shaping that financial foundation.
