Job Description Summary The Composites Operational Safety and EHS Leader partners across businesses, part families, functions to shape and execute the Operational Safety strategy for all development and production sites and ensures that all GE Aerospace EHS policies and practices are rigorously followed and continuously improved. This organizational leader will create the strategic vision and set the operational framework to deliver EHS performance. This will include process safety management (PSM), industrial safety, and environmental stewardship. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Partner across all Composites development and production sites to characterize and predict hazards, understand and fortify layers of safety and validate defenses to drive a zero-incident culture

Establish a Composites IPT Operational Safety and EHS Council and implement Daily Management rigor and connectivity across all sites

Drive rigid Management of Change (MOC) rigor on system-altering processes prior to implementation across all sites

Establish and drive adherence to Operational Safety and EHS Standard Work elements including but not limited to the Hazard Heat Map, Strength of Defense Matrix (SODM), HazOp and Process Hazard Assessment (PHA) across all sites

Maintain, deploy and continuously improve the Composites Operational Safety and EHS training programs including Leader Standard Work expectations for all People Leaders

Partner with the Composites leadership team to establish and effectively manage Operational Safety and EHS KPIs across all sites

Facilitate Problem Solving, Action Planning and Kaizen Events to shore up and/or continuously improve Operational Safety and EHS performance across all sites

Partner with all site leaders to drive adherence to GE Aerospace processes, policies and standards as well as government laws, regulations and standards.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years EHS experience)

Minimum of 5 years EHS experience with Process Safety Management methodology

Desired Characteristics Experience with Process Safety Management methodology.

Working knowledge of the GE Aerospace EHS framework

Experienced in leading cultural transformation in mature workforce

Experienced leading in a highly matrixed environment

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Strong process mindset and analytical capability

Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills

Exposure to Lean tools, methods and terminology
