Role:
As a Software Engineer in Operating Systems, you will develop systems software, frameworks, and platform-level code used to support hardware. You will contribute to operating systems like Windows and Azure Linux, participating in design and development to power Azure infrastructure in the cloud, Edge, and technology platforms for commercial and end-user applications.
Responsibilities:
Create and implement extensible and maintainable code for products, services, or features. Partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements, incorporate feedback into designs or solutions, and collaborate on testing plans to ensure quality. Apply knowledge of debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods to proactively identify issues. Learn about customer scaling requirements and best practices for performance, security, privacy, safety, and accessibility. Apply software engineering principles to solve complex problems in product hardware and operating systems. Contribute to the architecture of features, test design hypotheses, and refine code plans under technical leadership. Seek feedback and incorporate industry best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements. Develop knowledge of and apply best practices for building reliable code based on established methods. Understand global and local regulations relevant to technologies and system applications. Problem solve and debug multiprocessor systems, demonstrating an understanding of writing and debugging code.
