This position is in the Human Capital Division (HCD), Financial Directorate, United States Mint. The HCD is responsible for implementing Mint-wide and Division policies, employee programs, and activities in all aspects of human resources management and administration. The Division ensures policies and programs implemented result in fair, consistent, efficient, and effective workforce management strategies.
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector, or
volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Selective Factor : You must have experience in building, establishing, and standing up a full Classification Program, including expert skill in developing position descriptions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), directives, conducting position reviews, desk audits, and preparing final classification and Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) determinations.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience applying classification law, theories, principles, and practices with an understanding of the full range of interrelationships of human resources management programs sufficient to provide integrated solutions to position classification problems/issues.
Experience applying communicative techniques to meet and deal tactfully and persuasively with others to resolve issues which are often controversial and sensitive in nature, and to maintain harmonious relationships with all parties. Expert skills in consulting and facilitation techniques and methods.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the
time-in-grade requirement : For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
