This position oversees all aspects of distribution center operations, including transportation, inventory control, and customer service for the facility and the assigned geographical territory. Key responsibilities include employee relations and engagement, safety and security, cost control, inventory accuracy, productivity management, quality, workload planning, customer service, load planning, and facilities management. Responsibilities Oversee all operational aspects of the facility to manage and optimize the efficient flow of goods in and out of the distribution center. Direct and monitor daily activities to ensure safety, quality, cost, and people objectives are achieved. Manage the site’s operating budget, expenses, staffing levels, and productivity to maintain a cost-effective operation. Create an environment promoting teamwork and a culture of respect by working safely, effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all associates. Monitor and maintain associate productivity and development through coaching, counseling, motivation, and encouraging professional growth; administer corrective actions as necessary, in line with company policies. Drive operational changes as needed and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with all associates, customers, carriers, and 3PLs to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. Participate in strategic and special projects directed by the Supply Chain Leadership Team to improve cost, efficiency, and operational capabilities. Use data analytics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and enhance operational efficiency. Maintain key performance metrics, dashboards, and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders as required. Ensure compliance with company and OSHA guidelines to create and maintain a safe working environment. Oversee accident investigations, near miss reporting, root cause analysis, and implement policy and procedural improvements to prevent incidents and injuries. Knowledge and Skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proven leadership and motivational abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence staff at all levels. Effective organizational skills for department work functions. Demonstrated leadership presence with a positive influence on culture. Effective coaching and mentoring skills. Strong relationship management skills and ability to collaborate with the executive team. Tactful, diplomatic, and collaborative with internal and external customers and suppliers. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree highly preferred. 10+ years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in management or supervision. Experience with Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and project management. Experience with SAP, warehouse, and transportation management systems. APICS CSCP Certification, ISO / TS 16949 experience, and bilingual in Spanish are pluses. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or move on feet for 2-3 hours daily. Prolonged sitting while working on a computer. Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers. Occasional lifting or moving up to 20 pounds.
