Software Engineering Team Lead

Job Description Few&Far as partnered with a seed-stage startup in San Francisco who have recently raised $10m+. They are looking for an Engineering Lead to take over the technical side of the business from the Co-Founder/CTO. As Engineering Lead, you'll define our technical direction and lead the way we build. You'll mentor and manage a growing team, champion engineering best practices across delivery and quality, and scale our infrastructure, pipelines, and platform—with AI and automation at the heart of everything we do. Responsibilities: Design and build internal tools to automate development, QA, and data workflows, powered by AI Work closely with Product to scope and plan features, break down technical work, and ensure quality and stability Work with the product team to gather requirements Own and evolve internal processes around CI/CD, QA automation, observability, and DevOps Guide architectural decisions across products, including our AI agent, Chrome extension, data platform, and integrations What We’re Looking For Must-Haves: 6–10+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership roles Deep expertise in DevOps and QA best practices — including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code Proven track record in building and scaling data-intensive products, such as APIs, integrations, web scrapers, or cloud-based platforms AI- approach — consistently seeking opportunities to embed LLMs and automation into development workflows Skilled at leading cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with product and design partners Familiarity with data science workflows, and experience developing AI/ML infrastructure and AI-first products Current Tech Stack; Node, React, TypeScript, GCP, SQL
