The Impact You Will Have We are hiring a Principal Solutions Architect in Eagan, MN. This role oversees the design and implementation of data solutions enterprise-wide. You will collaborate with senior architects to ensure data solutions align with IT strategy and industry standards. You will also lead the development of data governance policies to ensure effective data management. Your work is crucial to leveraging data for operational improvement and strategic decision-making, supporting the company's long-term objectives. Your Responsibilities Promote cloud computing architectures and recommend optimal AWS technologies for building secure, reliable, and cost-efficient applications on the Enterprise Data Platform. Align solutions with enterprise strategy and architecture, collaborating with project managers, product owners, and architects. Mentor teams on reusable patterns and frameworks to ensure effective technology-driven solutions. Translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints. Lead cloud strategy principles, oversee migration efforts, and provide guidance on workload architecture and risk management. Design frameworks and patterns for robust data pipelines. Stay current with AWS best practices and industry trends. Present findings, recommendations, and proofs of concept to stakeholders. Review project data analysis, design, and architecture for quality and compliance with strategy. Research emerging IT solutions and mentor others in data architecture principles throughout project lifecycles. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including transferable skills and military service. Expertise in designing complex application systems. Strong understanding of data analytics stack, from ETL to BI tools. Proficiency in database, data warehouse, and data processing skills. Knowledge of BI and data exploration tools (e.g., SAS, Power BI, SQL). Experience with large-scale cloud platforms like AWS and security architecture. Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills. Ability to interact effectively with leadership, teams, and vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence stakeholders effectively. Knowledge of software licensing, contracting, and pricing. AWS Solution Architect certification. High school diploma or equivalent, with legal authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Skills and Experiences Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Additional certifications in Data Modeling or Data Warehousing. Knowledge of data integration tools like Glue. Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Stonebranch or Airflow. SQL scripting experience. Role Designation Hybrid Anchored in Connection Our hybrid model balances flexibility with in-person collaboration: two days in the office (including one anchor day) and three days remote, fostering relationships and innovation. Compensation and Benefits $115,000 - $195,600 annually Salary varies based on skills and experience.
