Electrical Engineer Computer Hardware Firmware PCB Designer

Job Description Job description This opportunity supports an active DoD missile contract as an Electrical Engineer and Computer Hardware Engineer. The role involves both individual contributions and teamwork. As an individual contributor, you will work directly with the DoD customer, suppliers, and company leadership. The position requires on-site work at our Fairfax, Virginia office. Salary is over $80K annually, with benefits, depending on experience. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Required Skills: Microcontroller firmware design, development, testing, and integration, preferably with TI MSP430. PCB design, layout, and simulation, ideally using Altium Designer. Experience with high-speed routing techniques (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet) and serial interfaces (e.g., USB, UART, SPI, I2C). Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices. Prioritization skills based on management guidance. Knowledge of IPC standards, CID, CID+ certification. Experience developing and managing component libraries. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Eligibility for and ability to maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
