Chief Operating Officer (COO)
to join our executive team. About Lamprey Health Care Since 1971, Lamprey Health Care has provided high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive primary care to individuals and families, regardless of ability to pay. With locations in Newmarket, Raymond, and Nashua, we serve as a vital community resource, delivering care that supports the whole person—physical, mental, and social health. The Opportunity The COO is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for managing and improving day-to-day operations across all clinical and administrative functions. This is a critical role for a collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, values innovation in healthcare delivery, and is deeply committed to improving health outcomes for underserved populations. Key Responsibilities Oversee clinical and operational workflows across Lamprey’s three sites, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and strategic goals. Lead and mentor department directors and managers to achieve performance targets related to patient access, service quality, staff engagement, and financial sustainability. Ensure compliance with HRSA, PCMH standards, and New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regulations and reporting requirements. Drive quality improvement initiatives and support population health management strategies. Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, CMO, and other senior leaders to implement long-range plans and community partnerships. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, with experience in an FQHC or community health setting highly desired. Demonstrated knowledge of delivering primary care within a FQHC regulatory environment including sliding fee programs, UDS reporting, PCMH principles, and state/federal health regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build trust and accountability across departments.
