Assistant Account Manager
to join our growing team in
Alpharetta, G A! This Employee Benefits Senior Assistant Account Manager serves as a support for the benefits department. This position should be able to perform all functions of Assistant Account Management which includes, but is not limited to, renewal workflows within BAM, COBRA, splits, certificate/policy checking, eligibility, document management and communications support . This position will assist with training new Assistant Account Managers in our processes and workflows. Day to day involvement will be concentrated on complex eligibility requests, oversight of PATRA error log, implementation of open enrollment elections and assistance with Open Enrollment Communications such as Benefit Guides, Brainshark and flyers. How You Will Contribute: Proficiently use Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Zywave, and BAM (Agency Management Systems).
Respond to all emails within 24 hours to ensure timely communication.
Capture, input, and maintain accurate data in systems like Zywave and BAM; perform audits such as 60-day bill checks.
Print open enrollment guides, occasionally fill in for the Director of First Impressions, and assist with general office duties as needed.
Coordinate with Account Managers for renewal closeout processing and obtain Certificates of Coverage / Summary Plan Documents.
Help prepare census data for marketing and support eligibility tasks during open enrollment implementation.
Assist in training new AAM teammates, support team members with system activities, and help resolve PATRA error logs.
Support communication development and translation efforts; ensure files and data are consistently accurate and well-maintained.
Follow agency policies, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining a positive and team-focused attitude.
Gain a full working knowledge of Benefits Activities, Agency Management Systems, and producer/carrier commissions; confirm project completion with Account Managers.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of Employee Benefits Experience
1-2 Years of Assistant Account Manager Experience
Life and Health License
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
