Summary We are seeking a Senior Director of U.S. Operations to oversee multiple manufacturing sites, driving operational improvements, ensuring quality compliance, and optimizing production processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing multi-site operations. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies aligned with the organization’s overall goals and objectives. Monitoring production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability targets are met or exceeded. Performance Management: Setting performance goals, monitoring KPIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Establishing an effective and scalable organizational structure, defining clear roles and responsibilities, managing workloads and career development, and providing clear direction for projects. Operational Efficiency: Optimizing processes, streamlining workflows, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity. Establishing and maintaining a culture of accountability, quality, and attention to detail to reduce quality escalations and inventory risks. Team Leadership: Providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Leading teams responsible for new product development, ensuring clear communication on project needs and timelines. Hiring, training, mentoring, and managing performance of direct reports. Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and shared objectives. Participating in product lifecycle planning and process improvements. Budget Management: Managing operational budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and standards; implementing risk management strategies. Other duties as assigned. Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred. Fly fishing and outdoor experience is a plus. Proven success managing large-scale manufacturing operations, preferably in regulated industries. At least 10 years in senior management roles overseeing multiple manufacturing locations and shifts. Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CPIM are advantageous. Strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills. ERP system expertise (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Epicor). Experience with lean manufacturing, quality systems (ISO), and continuous improvement. High proficiency in manufacturing processes, technologies, and software.
