Drab to Fab is a modern, eco-friendly landscape design, build & maintenance contractor serving San Diego County. We have completed over 400 projects since our founding in August 2020. We are looking to continue our rapid growth with key hires that can grow alongside the company. The Landscape Enhancement & Maintenance Foreman will be an integral component of our growth plan. This is a full-time position with hourly pay ranging between $22-$30 depending on experience. A company vehicle will be provided to the successful candidate, who must have a clean driving record without at-fault accidents or multiple driving infractions. Key Responsibilities: Installation of smaller "enhancement" projects (e.g., small plantings, decomposed granite, rock, etc.).
Monthly maintenance of properties.
Knowledge of landscaping duties including weeding, hedge/shrub trimming, blowing, planting, mulching, fertilization, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Operate and maintain various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
The position requires substantial manual labor.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications:
Required: Minimum 2+ years’ experience (full-time) or 4+ years’ experience (part-time) in landscape maintenance.
Social security number & ability to pass I9 verification.
Driver's license with clean DMV record.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures, codes and standards of conduct, ethics, attendance, and professional appearance.
Preferred: Experience with any of the following: Landscape Construction/Installation, Grading/Concrete Work/Pavers/Retaining Walls, Irrigation - Sprinkler and/or Drip Systems, Low Voltage Outdoor Lighting.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Reliable and motivated with a good work ethic.
Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements: Work to be performed mostly outdoors on various sites throughout San Diego County.
The environment can be hot.
Applicants must be in good physical condition and able to perform physical operations requiring but not limited to sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying of tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
The workplace is non-smoking and drug-free.
Pre-Employment Screening:
After a phone screening and in-person interview(s), successful candidates will be invited to participate in a mandatory, paid working interview. The candidate must be able to pass pre-employment testing, criminal and civil background investigations, employment verifications, and physical/drug screens. We do not screen for cannabis/marijuana.
