Hybrid/Remote About Us: We are launching a forward-thinking trust company dedicated to delivering best-in-class fiduciary and custodial services for individuals, families, and institutions - starting with an IRA. Our goal is to redefine what clients can expect from a modern trust company—bringing innovation, integrity, and personalized service to the heart of fiduciary management. Position Overview: The CEO will serve as the chief architect and ambassador of our institution, responsible for overall strategy, operations, compliance, and team leadership. This is a unique opportunity to guide a start-up through its formative years and position it for sustainable growth in a dynamic, highly regulated industry with initial funding already secured. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the company’s vision, mission, and business strategy in collaboration with the board of directors. Build and lead a talented executive team, establish a dynamic and ethical corporate culture, and inspire high performance across the organization. Oversee all operational, financial, and regulatory aspects of the trust company, including state and federal compliance. Partner with legal, risk, and financial professionals to ensure robust internal controls and prudent risk management. Spearhead business development efforts targeting high-net-worth individuals, families, advisors, and institutions. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and regulatory agencies. Experience with mergers, integrations and/or private equity backed firms Represent the company at industry events and in public forums, acting as a thought leader and enhancing brand reputation. Provide timely reports and updates to the board of directors and stakeholders. Qualifications: 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in trust companies, banks, fintech, or related wealth management/financial services organizations. Previous executive, CEO, or COO-level experience preferred. Deep knowledge of fiduciary, trust, and custody operations, as well as relevant state and federal regulations. Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and retain top talent. Proven business development skills and the ability to drive profitable growth. Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, etc.) or relevant certifications preferred.
