We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative
Manufacturing Engineer
to join our operations team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes that enable efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering foundation with hands-on experience in factory operations, tooling, automation, and lean manufacturing practices. Key Responsibilities Process Design & Optimization
Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Analyze production workflows and identify areas for improvement to reduce waste, cost, and downtime. Develop and document process parameters, SOPs, and quality control standards. Production Support
Work closely with production teams to resolve issues related to tooling, fixtures, equipment, and materials. Monitor KPIs (yield, throughput, scrap rate, cycle time) and recommend corrective actions as needed. Provide technical support during new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change implementations. Tooling, Equipment & Automation
Specify and design tools, jigs, and fixtures to streamline assembly and manufacturing. Lead or support integration of automation solutions (e.g., robotics, conveyors, sensors). Manage procurement and validation of new equipment, including FAT and SAT. Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with R&D, Product Design, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability. Participate in DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) reviews during product development. Coordinate with vendors and contract manufacturers to ensure consistent production quality. Quality & Compliance
Implement and maintain quality systems (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma, ISO standards). Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for manufacturing defects. Ensure workplace safety and compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO, RoHS). Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role in a hardware or industrial setting. Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred), and experience with ERP/MRP systems. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work extended hours/weekends for mission critical deadlines. ITAR Restrictions
