Job Title: Program Director
Location: Seattle, WA (5 Days Onsite)
Duration : Fulltime
Job Description:

The Program Director is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Energy Intelligence Data Platform program. This role ensures the project meets its strategic objectives, delivers value to stakeholders, and is executed within scope, budget, and timelines, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Program Governance & Leadership
Define program vision, goals, success metrics, and roadmap in alignment with organizational strategy.
Establish governance structures, steering committees, and regular reporting cadence.
Oversee planning and execution of all phases (Discovery, Design, Development, Deployment, and Go-Live).
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for executives, business owners, and key stakeholders.
Drive stakeholder alignment and buy-in across utilities, energy providers, and internal teams.
Manage expectations, communications, and approvals.
Financial Management
Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
Track expenditures and ensure adherence to financial controls.
Manage vendor contracts, procurement, and change requests.
Risk & Compliance Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues proactively.
Ensure compliance with SOC2, GDPR, and internal security and privacy policies.
Oversee audit readiness and documentation.
Delivery Oversight
Monitor progress across multiple workstreams: Data Ingestion, Storage, Processing, AI/ML, API Development, Frontend Development, Security, and DevOps.
Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and acceptance criteria (e.g., 99.9% uptime, sub-500ms API response).
Support cross-functional team performance, removing blockers, and driving resolution of escalations.
Team Leadership & Coaching
Lead and mentor project managers, architects, and technical leads.
Foster a collaborative culture across distributed teams and vendors.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong program and portfolio management experience in large-scale cloud data platform implementations (preferably Azure).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and multi-vendor delivery engagements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Deep understanding of cloud security, compliance (SOC2, GDPR), and regulatory considerations.
Financial and contract management expertise.
Ability to manage risks and dependencies in complex technology environments.
Experience & Qualifications
12–15+ years of progressive IT program management experience.
At least 3–5 years in cloud data platform delivery, ideally in energy, utilities, or industrial IoT contexts.
Proven track record of delivering high-value technology programs exceeding $5M+ budgets.
Certifications preferred:
PMP or PgMP (Program Management Professional)
Azure Solutions Architect (or equivalent)
Certified ScrumMaster or SAFe certification.
