Description
The Cybersecurity Analyst & IT Administrator is an integral part of our Information Technology team, responsible for overseeing our IT Infrastructure and security operations. This hybrid role demands a tech-savvy professional with expertise in both system administration and cybersecurity to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT environment.
Key Responsibilities • Monitor security access and perform security log analysis to identify any irregularities or signs of security incidents. • Conduct vulnerability assessments and participate in penetration testing. • Remediate detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard. • Support the design and implementation of security solutions for servers, infrastructure, and endpoints using Microsoft Intune. • Stay up to date with current cybersecurity threats and trends. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the security of technology assets such as hardware, software, and SaaS products. • Assist in developing and communicating security policies, procedures, and training. • Assist the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams with user and device provisioning • Work with the SOC team to enhance our security posture. • Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, servers, and cloud-based systems. • Provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and manage IT assets. • Oversee software installations, upgrades, and patch management.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. • 1-2 years of experience in an information security. • Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity principles and best practices. • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, Zero Trust, and passwordless authentication. • Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ • Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell is a plus. • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS Critical Controls. #DNI
