Delivery Driver - Agriculture and Compact Construction Equipment
Purpose:
Operates a truck and lowboy trailer to transport heavy and/or oversized equipment, whole goods and needed transfer items for the dealership.
Responsibilities:
Transports equipment and parts between dealer facilities and/or occasionally to/from customers locations; may also pick-up new equipment from a John Deere factory Supports the sales department with equipment transfers and inventory rebalancing as needed Maintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Maintains knowledge of John Deere products Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
1+ year of experience as a semi-truck operator required. Lowboy experience preferred Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment Experience working cooperatively in a team environment Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs repeatedly High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record required
