This position is part of the Farming Solutions & Digital Product Development organization within Corteva Agriscience, where we design and deliver customer-facing digital solutions for farmers and their agricultural advisors. As a member of the Seedlings team, you will join a full stack team responsible for the creation of variable rate seeding recommendations for our customers.

The Software Engineer II contributes to the team's front-end experiences, backend services, and AWS infrastructure. We're looking for someone who loves setting up and building scalable, production-quality services and user experiences. They should also be competent in standard software engineering practices regarding development lifecycles and code best practice.

Responsibilities:

Work with UX designers and other engineers to build user interfaces using React

Build Python APSs that bring our cutting-edge data science to farmers around the world

Create AWS infrastructure to support those APIs and the data science tools behind them

Demonstrate a passion for learning and developing skills, trying new technologies, and be solution-centric thinking

Bring your experience and knowledge to help mentor, lead, and grow others

Requirements:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

1-4 years of experience as a software developer including Python and TypeScript

Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using gitlab-ci

Creating code that is maintainable and adaptable

Excellent problem solving skills

Strong communication skills with a positive and solution oriented mindset

Preferences:

Experience with React and commonly used libraries associated with React

Experience with Python API libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, or Bottle

Experience working with distributed and multi-region teams

Experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum

Experience developing AgTech applications.

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $113,000.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
