Position Overview:
Under supervision from the IT Manager, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer is an expert in multiple realms. This position plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and scalable infrastructure across our enterprise. This position will have extensive experience with enterprise systems including VMware Server Virtualization, network storage architectures, Citrix, Active Directory, Office 365, and both LAN and WAN networking. This position is responsible for helping to guide as well as implementing technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level infrastructure solutions to support business operations and growth. Manage VMware infrastructure, including provisioning, performance tuning, and resource optimization. Design and manage multi-tiered network storage solutions, including SAN and NAS configurations. Administer and optimize Dell / EMC storage environment. Administer Citrix environments for remote access and application delivery, ensuring high availability and performance. Maintain and optimize Active Directory and Office 365 environments, including identity management, authentication, and security configurations. Develop and maintain LAN and WAN network architecture, ensuring redundancy, scalability, and security. Implement and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to protect sensitive information. Contribute to the design and execution of a Data-Centric Security Architecture, ensuring data protection at rest, in transit, and in use. Work collaboratively with cybersecurity, compliance, and application teams to ensure infrastructure supports security and business needs. Conduct regular capacity planning and performance analysis to maintain high levels of service availability. Lead or support infrastructure-related projects, providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to read and comprehend complex and technical instructions. Ability to speak and present in an effective manner. Ability to work with little direct supervision. Ability to organize workload and job functions and set and manage multiple priorities. Ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be a team player and contribute to growing our capabilities and help provide superior service to the members. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration in a complex enterprise environment. Proven expertise in:
Optimizing Data Center Infrastructure VMware Server Virtualization Administrating Dell / EMC Storage. Citrix admin experience (Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Client [NetScaler]). Working knowledge of Dell Server Infrastructure. Working knowledge of Data Protection practices and strategies. General Windows and Linux Administration skills. Active Directory (GPOs, OU structure, Federation, etc.). Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Network Storage (SAN, NAS) including tiered storage solutions. General Understanding network design for LAN / WAN, including routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers. Expert level certifications such as MCSE, VMware VCP, Citrix CCE-V, or similar preferred. Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS), preferred. Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.), preferred. Experience with monitoring and management platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, WhatsUp Gold, Netwrix), preferred. Strong understanding of enterprise security principles and best practices. Data-Centric Security Architectures. Data Loss Prevention technologies and methodologies. Experience in regulatory requirements and audits. Experience managing complex infrastructure for a financial institution.
Pay Rate:
$70 - $72 / Hour
