Job Summary

The Markey Cancer Center, Clinical Research Office is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Research Regulatory Manager

for Kentucky's only NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center. This position will oversee the regulatory aspects of our clinical research projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, facilitating smooth interactions with regulatory agencies, and supporting the successful execution of clinical trials.

The Research Regulatory Manager will provide direct supervision to the regulatory team and report directly to the Research Admin. & Operations Director. This individual is responsible for the development and management of the regulatory team to support the organization's clinical research objectives. This individual will work with departmental and hospital leadership to develop and implement training programs to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and best practices, will train and supervise regulatory staff fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Serves as regulatory lead for interdepartmental and external agencies, ensuring regulatory compliance for multiple clinical trials. Guides regulatory staff, setting and communicating priorities and performance standards. Stays up-to-date with new and revised standard operating procedures and regulations.

This position is eligible for a fully on-site work arrangement.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Comprehensive understanding of related scientific, clinical and regulatory terminology. Ability to independently identify and problem-solve complex/non-routine problems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, strong oral/written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills required. Demonstrate leadership, personnel management, task prioritization, and presentation skills. Computer and web-based application proficiency to include designing forms and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master's degree + 6 years; UK equivalencies apply; clinical or clinical research background preferred.
