POSITION : Senior Quality Inspector

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME : Full Time

GENERAL SUMMARY The Senior Quality Inspector will be responsible for receiving inspection, data verification and final acceptance activities, including the responsibility to initiate NCs, facilitate dispositioning and steward to closure.

QUALIFICATIONS A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required. 5+ years of experience in Receiving Inspection, Data Verification and Final Acceptance activities, working with quality control systems (e.g...nonconformance, etc...) and following good manufacturing practices. Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Thorough understanding of GDP. Experience using basic metrology such as height gauges, calipers, microscopes, gauge blocks, and optical comparators. Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written/oral communication skills with an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong and reliable work ethic with demonstrated attention to detail. General mechanical aptitude. Experience within regulated industry, specifically the generation of quality records that document accept / reject decisions. Preferred Education

Two-year technical degree is a plus. Preferred Experience Experience in a medical device environment. Certification(s) related to GD&T, use of basic metrology, CQT. Physical Demands

Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Employees typically sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives. Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard and basic metrology. DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs dimensional and visual inspections for received materials, service parts / kits, finished goods and accessories. Utilizes appropriate measurement tools for tasks assigned. Generates clear and accurate records of inspection. Performs assembly verification, labeling verification, and finished product acceptance activities of production material as needed. Initiates, facilitates, supports non-conformance to closure. Attends and participates in department meetings, seminars, and training sessions to maintain/develop certifications. Demonstrates professional competence in the workplace. Attends and participates in departmental meetings. Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence. Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met. Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor. Provides customer focused interactions. Performs all duties required per department policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department.

Pay Range:

$28 - $30 per hour
