Position Title: Job Developer Reports To: Director of Social Services
Department: Social Services Employment Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Status: Essential
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Job Developer will be responsible for assisting clients of the Homeless Shelter in all stages of the job securement process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Provide job development leads and support to unemployed clients Evaluates individuals background, skills and interest and matches to potential job openings or job fairs Assist clients in resume creation and distribution to potential employers Provide outreach to business community to make connections for potential candidates within the client base ? Establishes and maintains working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to source job openings and secure employment and vocational training opportunities for clients Prepare clients for the interview process including mock interviews and proper interview attire Provide weekly reports on job securements of shelter clients Create and compose action plans to raise employment levels amongst the client base Documentation of individual client cases in DHS's CARES In the event of an emergency, Essential Employees are required to report to work as scheduled Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with the Homeless population is a plus. Experience with DHS Cares is a plus. Bachelor's Degree required psychology, social work, sociology, mental health, nursing, health and human services, or education services. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
