ETL Analyst / Developer - Data Warehouse Developer with ETL tools expertise

5 years' experience working with ETL
Support data analytics team in retrieving data and summarizing data, converting data from different sources
Ability to work with SQL Server DBA, system architect, and application developers to design stable, reliable, effective and optimized databases
SQL Server scripting, data modeling,
Experience knowing how to manage computers and peripherals
Ability to manage concurrent requests and multiple priorities / strong multi-tasking skills
Understands data warehousing principles, concepts and architecture
Experience and knowledge with SQL Scripting
Familiarity with MS SQL Server databases and has used an SQL instance in an Azure context
Experience in K-12 school systems is highly desired
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from diverse source systems into the data warehouse. Monitor and optimize ETL job performance, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve ETL-related production issues, including data integrity, performance, and scheduling problems. Collaborate with business analysts and data owners to define data mapping, transformation rules, and quality checks. Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and system integrations. Implement error handling, logging, and notification mechanisms for ETL pipelines to ensure reliability. Support the migration of legacy ETL processes to modern platforms or cloud environments (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS). Assist in the design and enforcement of data governance, security, and compliance standards. Work closely with reporting and analytics teams to ensure timely and accurate data availability for dashboards and reports. Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and database optimization for SQL Server and Azure-hosted databases. Stay current with emerging ETL tools, cloud technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements to the existing architecture.
