Job Description Job Title: Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
Shift: 06:45 AM - 05:00 PM Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 10-hour days, rotating call required
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team. This position requires a dedicated professional with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in performing cardiac catheterization procedures. As a Cath Lab Technician, you will assist in imaging studies under the direction of a Cardiologist, Chief Technologist, or Director of Imaging Services.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform cardiac catheterization procedures safely and efficiently in the Cardiac Cath Lab. - Assist the physician with various cardiac cases, including Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), and Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR). - Support peripheral interventions and possess experience with devices such as CSI, Shockwave, Penumbra, and Impella. - Monitor patients' EKG and arterial pressures during procedures to ensure safety and efficacy. - Scrub and assist during procedures, as well as accurately chart and document each procedure within the Change Healthcare system. - Be available for on-call rotations, which include 2 days per week and 1-2 weekends per month. - Comply with hospital protocols and maintain a professional approach in all interactions.
Qualifications: - Certification as an RCIS, CST, or RTR required. - Competency in handling cardiac cases and the ability to scrub as well as monitor. - Experience with Change Healthcare systems is preferred. - Must be willing to work on holidays, including Labor Day and Thanksgiving. - Must adhere to hospital dress code, with teal scrubs provided by the facility.
General Comments: - No guarantees of 48-hour scheduling; blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. - Max return to offer (RTO): 1 week.
