Cyber Systems Engineer - Military Ground Vehicle Integration
Contribute to the defense of national security by shaping the cybersecurity posture of advanced military vehicle platforms. In this role, you will lead cyber-physical systems integration, interface with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and ensure cybersecurity compliance across design, development, and implementation phases. Responsibilities: Exercise engineering authority to integrate cross-functional Cyber scope within schedule and performance constraints. Champion cybersecurity best practices, tools, and training across the engineering enterprise to foster a resilient cyber design culture. Develop and manage system-level requirements including SWaP-CRaM (Space, Weight, Power, Cooling, Reliability, Maintenance). Coordinate changes to requirements, architecture, and system design, ensuring impact analysis and resolution. Conduct and lead trade studies addressing space, weight, power, cost, reliability, and performance impacts of Cyber integration. Oversee verification planning and execution for test events, production, and field deployments. Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes for design and integration issues. Review and validate technical artifacts and CDRLs for contract compliance and accuracy. Interface with platform-level Design IPTs for threat analysis, requirements flow-down, and system integration. Evaluate emerging Cyber and C5ISR technologies for application in vehicle platforms. Lead and participate in peer reviews, design checkpoints, and formal milestone evaluations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline. Equivalent experience, cybersecurity certifications, or technical credentials may be considered. Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering or military system development. Active U.S. Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Leadership in engineering, embedded systems, or military vehicle projects. Cybersecurity integration in embedded systems or cyber-physical environments. Experience with: Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA), Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTX), Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS), NIST SP 800-37 and 800-53 compliance, development and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSP) and POA&Ms. Understanding of cyber warfare, offensive and defensive operations. Development and decomposition of cybersecurity requirements. Experience with: System-level architecture, Electrical Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), software and computer science fundamentals. Military vehicle systems integration. Familiarity with cyber physical system security requirements. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
