Job Title: Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist

The primary role of the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Customer Service Representative is to create orders for VMI customers and manage inventory at the MATHESON Site to ensure reliability and uninterrupted supply. This role is mainly internal but may include answering phones and making deliveries using the VMI vehicle. Essential Functions Adhere to all MATHESON safety policies, including vehicle safety, PureSafe trainings, and daily Tool Box Talks. Manage warehouse inventory according to min/max levels, coordinating with Purchasing for ordering and organizing stock systematically. Manage customer inventory levels, plan orders and deliveries with the VMI Route Driver, and update min/max levels as needed. Create accurate customer orders based on data from the vending interface and reorder stock accordingly. Coordinate non-standard orders with Purchasing, suppliers, and update system records. Maintain good housekeeping at the Chambersburg Site's warehouse for accuracy, efficiency, and safety. Identify and escalate problematic issues to ensure customer satisfaction and follow up on resolutions. Perform additional duties such as answering phones, serving walk-in customers, or driving a forklift (training provided).

Qualifications 1-3 years' experience in Welding/Gas Industry preferred. Awareness of safety practices and ability to adhere to them. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Computer skills, with ability to learn MATHESON's ordering system. Ability to plan and organize warehouse and ordering systems. Professional appearance and communication skills to represent MATHESON. Team-oriented mindset and ability to accept coaching. Ability to follow-up on time-sensitive issues. Valid driver's license (within 30 days). Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work independently or with others as needed.

Travel Requirements

Weekly on-road visits/interactions with customers, approximately 8-14 hours. Additional Information
