Software Engineer
Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Irving, TX Duties: Write or execute test cases and validate them to ensure requirements are met and stories brought to completion. Engage in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence to overall roadmaps and architectural strategy. Build and drive teams, enterprise partners and vendors in delivering innovative products through the creation of flexible and reliable functionality. Model an environment of strong collaboration and partnership with engineers, domain architects, product leaders, stakeholders, and partners to drive execution of roadmap, negotiate changes in priorities and manage communication of impacts. Work with developers and stakeholders to thoroughly understand business or technical requirements. Coordinate with project teams on planning timing and priority of Quality Assurance testing needs. Implement automated testing scenarios using software. Identify and track bugs, regression issues, and enhancement requests. Keep track of and report on testing progress and results. Understand deployment strategy and testing environments. Identify issues in test or production and follow them through to solution. Participate in iteration planning and project status meetings. Work in close interaction with developers in verification and validation of problems in new and existing applications. Effectively communicate testing status to project teams, business users, and product owners. Research testing trends and industry best practices. Document and assist in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Perform manual and automated testing. Research and analyze product features being tested. Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality. Apply technical knowledge of the digital platform, cloud computing and APIs. Perform Quality assurance automation testing using SQL queries, Postman, JIRA, and AWS. Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a QA Analyst, Software Test Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 4 years performing each of the following skills: Quality assurance automation testing using SQL queries, Postman, JIRA, and AWS; Writing or executing test cases and validating them to ensure requirements are met and stories brought to completion using typical QA testing and tracking tools like JIRA and Postman; Identifying and tracking bugs, regression issues, and enhancement requests using QA testing tools and tracking like JIRA; Building and driving teams, enterprise partners and vendors in delivering innovative products through the creation of flexible and reliable functionality; Collaborating with engineers, domain architects, product leaders, stakeholders and partners to drive execution of roadmap, negotiate changes in priorities and manage communication of impacts; and Implementing automated testing scenarios using automation software.
