Lead Graphics Engineer | AAA Game Studio | Onsite in Irvine, CA Are you an experienced graphics engineer who thrives on pushing technical boundaries and leading teams to deliver visually stunning, immersive gaming experiences? This is a rare opportunity to join a newly established US-based AAA studio thats developing an ambitious open world title backed by one of the worlds largest game publishers. Youll work alongside industry veterans to build genre-defining experiences with cutting edge technology and a strong studio vision. What Youll Be Doing Graphics Leadership and Development Lead development of rendering systems and own the graphics pipeline across the studios flagship open world game Design and implement new rendering techniques to create high performance visually rich experiences Collaborate closely with environment character and VFX teams to enable stunning visuals and push fidelity limits Utilize modern graphics APIs such as DX12 and Vulkan and shader languages like HLSL or GLSL Profile CPU and GPU performance and drive ongoing optimization Team and Culture Provide mentorship and guidance to a high performing engineering team Contribute to a supportive and open culture where failure is seen as part of innovation Participate in hiring onboarding and ongoing team development Help cultivate an inclusive blame free environment that supports shared success What Were Looking For 7 plus years of experience in video game development with at least one AAA title shipped Deep understanding of GPU architecture and modern rendering techniques Hands-on experience with modern game engines Unreal a plus Strong debugging skills including memory and multi-threading issues Excellent collaboration and communication skills Bonus Points For Background in physical simulation Experience with both proprietary and third party engines like Unreal or Unity The Perks Onsite in Irvine CA with a brand new studio space Competitive salary range 116200 to 269100 Robust benefits including company paid health insurance 401k with match parental leave daily lunch snacks and more Eligible for sign on bonus RSUs and relocation support Ready to Level Up If you're excited about building something groundbreaking from the ground up and doing it with a collaborative forward thinking team this could be the perfect fit.
