BGSF has partnered with a manufacturing company in southeast Houston and is seeking a
Payroll Analyst
to join their team. This payroll analyst will be responsible for administering and processing payrolls for both the US and Canada, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations, company policies, and best practices. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in both US and Canadian payroll processes. Duties will consist of the following: Lead one Senior Payroll Specialist who resides in Canada. Process various payrolls in US and Canada, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Calculate and verify wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits in compliance with Federal, State, Local, and provincial payroll regulations Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including but not limited to W4s, W2s, T4s, T 2200s, WCB, ROEs, and remittances for taxes, and other statutory deductions. Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including timekeeping, leave balances, and benefits administration. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Canadian labor laws, tax regulations. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the various departments within the company Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits in a professional and timely manner. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and security. Support year-end payroll processes, including audits and reporting requirements. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline processes and improve payroll efficiency. Stay updated on changes in Federal, State, Local, Canadian, and provincial legislation and best practices. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of high-volume payroll in Alberta and Quebec along with experience in Dayforce.
