Computer Systems Analyst, Journeyman (Finance)
The Computer Systems Analyst, Journeyman supports the Information Technology/Information Management (IT/IM) Department, Code 720000D/E contract. The IT/IM Department's mission is to provide IT and Cybersecurity support services to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). The IT/IM Department is a Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)-wide competency responsible for providing the people, processes, technologies, facilities, skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to support the development, planning, execution, monitoring, and lifecycle support of IT/IM programs and activities within the Weapons Division command.
The IT/IM Department provides non-Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) products and services, including corporate IT solutions, tools, and site/customer-specific support. The mission of the IT/IM Department is to ensure that the NAWCWD IT infrastructure, tools, applications, etc., are compliant with current and future DoD regulations, are continually operational, and meet the end user's needs. The department also modifies systems to accommodate new and changing technologies and to combat against new and existing IT threats.
The Computer Systems Analyst, Journeyman analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. He or she analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. The analyst may also analyze or recommend commercially available software.
