What you'll do:
We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior Network Engineer
to play a critical role in the design, deployment, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure. This individual will serve as a technical lead within the Network Architecture team, providing advanced support for Cisco switching, routing, and wireless technologies; Palo Alto firewall configuration; and Azure cloud networking. The role will mentor network engineers and support cross-functional projects while maintaining the performance, availability, and security of network services. Able to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and load balancers.
Design and implement complex network solutions using Cisco technologies, including routing, switching, and wireless. Experience with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and ACI preferred. Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure perimeter and internal segmentation. Design, implement, and optimize Azure networking components such as VNets, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and firewalls. Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise network architecture, cloud networking, and SD-WAN deployments. Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and enforce network policies and standards. Lead troubleshooting efforts during high-impact network incidents, providing root cause analysis and long-term solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to network engineers and support staff. Share best practices and support knowledge transfer across the IT organization. Participate in team code reviews, technical sessions, and training programs. Monitor and manage VPN tunnels, remote access, and site-to-site connections. Assist with maintaining compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI, etc.). Ensure proper documentation of network configurations, changes, incident reports, and asset inventories. Provide Tier 3 support for network-related issues and escalate as needed. Participate in IT change management processes. Follow ITIL best practices in service management (incident, problem, and change management). What do you need?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering. Proven experience in IT change management processes and frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams. Technology Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with:
Cisco switching, routing, and wireless networking technologies Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN configuration and operations. Palo Alto firewall configuration and troubleshooting Azure networking (including hybrid connectivity solutions)
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience in IT service management environments. Experience with Load Balancers and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is a plus.
