Position Summary: Interview Mode: Video Mandatory Qualification: • Level II- Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as a Specialist • 4-7 years of experience working with both PowerBI and Tableau: Including hands-on development of: Reports, dashboards, and data models. Demonstrated ability to translate raw data into visually meaningful insights for decision-makers. Desirable Qualifications: • 4-7 years - Proficiency in SQL, including T-SQL, SSRS, Power Query, and data extraction techniques. • 4-7 years - Familiarity with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and complex calculations in Power BI. • 4-7 years - Experience with data modeling techniques and relational database design. • 4-7 years - Understanding of data warehouse concepts and enterprise-level reporting strategies. • 4-7 years - Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns and anomalies in large datasets. • 4-7 years - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when presenting data to executive leadership or cross-agency partners. • 4-7 years - Experience working in public sector environments or with inter- agency collaboration teams Duties/Responsibilities: • This role is responsible for transforming raw program and operational data into clear insights through data modeling, interactive reporting, and performance visualizations using both Power BI and Tableau. • The specialist will work closely with executive leadership, internal developers, and external stakeholders to ensure IES business objectives are clearly reflected in all reporting tools. • strong understanding of data analysis, user experience, and government program operations (e.g., SNAP, Child Support) is essential to success in this role. • The Power BI Specialist will have: • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • bility to work independently and as a part of a team • daptability to changing business requirements Key Responsibilities: • Data Modeling - Design, build, and optimize data models in Power BI and Tableau that support IES program reporting, product reporting or other performance and operational reporting. • Dashboard & Report Development - Develop intuitive and user-friendly reports and dashboards tailored to program-specific needs • Data Analysis - Identify trends, performance gaps, and actionable insights using statistical and visual techniques. • Data Visualization - Translate complex datasets into accessible visual narratives that guide stakeholders in decision-making. • Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with leadership, business users, and external agencies to gather requirements and iterate on deliverables. • Documentation & Maintenance - Maintain clear documentation, ensure data integrity, and monitor the performance and accuracy of reports over time. • Training & Support - Provide training to district users and leadership teams to promote adoption and interpretation of dashboards. • Troubleshooting - Investigate and resolve issues related to data sources, loading, and visualization logic across the program and other teams.
