Summary
The Dean of Innovation and Experiential Learning serves as the strategic academic leader overseeing the development and evolution of interdisciplinary, industry-aligned programs. This role focuses on advancing innovative teaching models, strengthening experiential learning, and expanding real-world opportunities through the USV Production Lab, paid internships, and industry-integrated curricula.
Duties and Responsibilities Shape the strategic direction of Game and Animation programs with a focus on innovation, workforce readiness, and future trends. Lead the development and launch of the USV Production Lab, serving as executive sponsor for project-based and client-facing student work. Partner with faculty chairs to ensure curriculum alignment, faculty mentorship, and high-quality student experiences. Collaborate with Career Services, external partners, and internal stakeholders to expand internship and experiential learning opportunities. Represent USV externally with industry leaders, influencers, and educational collaborators. Champion interdisciplinary program development, including subscription-based and competency-driven models. Provide academic vision for emerging program proposals and new delivery modalities. Qualifications
Master's or terminal degree in a creative or technology discipline, education, or a related field. 15+ years of leadership in higher education or creative industries. Deep understanding of experiential education models, workforce pipelines, and industry-academic collaboration. Experience launching or scaling project-based initiatives in academic settings. Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills. EEO Statement

Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment with people interaction. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and office machines. The employee will be requested to log hours worked in a system provided by the institution and track individual task assignments in another tool.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods; use hands and reach with hands and arms for such activities as keyboarding.
