Description
We're looking for a server assistant who is enthusiastic and excels in a fast-paced environment. As a server assistant, you'll be bringing customers to their seats, helping serve food, refilling water glasses and other beverages, and restocking food items in the kitchen and servers' stations. You'll clear and clean tables, and reset them with tableware and napkins for the next guests. You'll also field customer inquiries and menu questions and let servers know when they are needed.
You should know about food safety rules, and having previous food experience is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent customer service skills, who enjoys working as part of a team and is eager to learn about food service. Responsibilities
•Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed •Bring customers to their tables, communicate with customers regarding any special needs, and relay any issues to the waiter •Serve customers water, and other beverages, bring drinks to them, and make sure all condiments are refilled and placed on the table •Handle delivering food from the kitchen to the table on time. Ask if you can help with anything else before leaving the table •Clean and clear tables of debris and bring dirty dishes to the kitchen to be washed. Prepare tables for the next guests
Qualifications
•Must have knowledge of proper handling of food items and various kitchen tools •Has the ability to stand, bend, and lift for longer periods of time for the duration of the shift •Willing to work some nights, weekends, and some holidays, plus pick up extra shifts if necessary •Previous food service industry or QSR experience is preferred but not mandatory •This position requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
