Provide clerical assistance to support the instructional and operational functions of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining databases and files, assisting with scheduling/registration and Workday processes, supporting faculty instructional needs, and providing information and assistance to faculty, staff, students, and visitors of the college.
Essential Duties:
Assists both Department Chairs of Social & Behavioral Sciences and students in communicating with each other as well as disseminating information regarding division/class updates. Enter and retrieve data and information from computer systems and software applications by processing schedule changes, cancellations, and closings. Prepares course information for faculty payment in the Workday system, and schedule classrooms through Ad Astra software. Maintain faculty information files and college catalog, including contact information, courses taught, course syllabi, copies of gradebooks, office hours, and committee memberships. Work with marketing to update department webpage as needed. Order textbooks for faculty. Greet and direct students and visitors, answer telephones, and relay messages. Make copies, correspondence, flyers, brochures, and forms as needed Maintain office equipment and report needing repair through IT or maintenance work orders. Order and maintain office supplies for faculty with the help of the Senior Administrative Specialist and the Procurement office. Send correspondence/ fax sheets; distribute and collect intra-office mail. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Rate of Pay: $17.34 per hour *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to the work performed Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications Ability to establish and maintain electronic filing systems Ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with faculty, students, the general public, and other employees of the organization Serves as the liaison between an administrator and students, staff, faculty, community organizations, governmental agencies, contractors, vendors, and others by providing information and assistance regarding various College programs, schedules, procedures, and requirements
