Duties and Responsibilities Maintain established wired and wireless network infrastructure Collaborate with the global infrastructure team to improve and develop the systems based on the global IT strategy Ensure interoperability of the new network & data center infrastructure with existing network and data center infrastructure Implement integration of existing and new Manufacturing, Automation, Supply Chain, and Operations Technology solutions & services Identify, propose, design, and deliver solutions that enable optimal user experience of network and data center capabilities to improve work efficiency, which can include leveraging cloud infrastructure services Identify, propose, design, and deliver network and data center solutions guided by Industry 4.0 Document all work procedures information in the Rentschler IT knowledge repository Develop and deliver informal and formal knowledge transfer to the Rentschler global IT team Contribute actively to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve existing capabilities, including through the introduction of new capabilities Provide 24-hour on-call support as required by on-call schedule Comply with all Rentschler Quality policies and procedures Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related/relevant field OR completed studies or certification in network engineering such as CCNP or CCIE 5+ years in network and data center engineering role in a biotechnology, biopharma, or regulated environment Ideally Experience working with Extreme Networks wired, and WiFi technologies required Experience with Active Directory including GPO creation Experience working with Microsoft Windows & SQL and VMWare server technologies required Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure services preferred Experience working with Dell EMC Storage Area Networks (SAN) preferred Basic knowledge of the GMP environment Proficient in MS Office products Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills Demonstrated success in a highly collaborative environment is essential Thorough organizational and communication skills Working Conditions
Standard office working conditions apply. Ability to make decisions under pressure, ability to work with colleagues/senior managers/individual contributors Occasional work in "clean room" spaces to access IT infrastructure. Physical Requirements
