Job Description: This position will lead the efforts for schematic design and PS&E for highway projects within the Transportation division in the DFW area.
Responsibilities:
Lead project teams and efforts in schematic design and PS&E for highway projects.
Provide guidance and supervision to project design teams, including training and mentorship.
Manage multi-discipline support consultant teams during project development and design.
Develop innovative design techniques and project delivery methods.
Present ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholders.
Assist in proposal development, project scoping, and client relationship management.
Participate in design review meetings and interact with clients and staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
15+ years of multi-discipline experience in schematic design and PS&E, with at least 8 years managing projects from start to finish, preferably in the DFW market.
Ability to mentor team members professionally and technically.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in MicroStation, GeoPak, MS Excel, and scheduling tools.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Availability to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.
