Job Description Description: The Threat & Vulnerability Manager
is responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and remediation of security vulnerabilities across the organization’s IT environment. This role ensures proactive risk management by monitoring emerging threats, analyzing vulnerabilities, and implementing strategies to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the vulnerability management program, including scanning, analysis, and reporting of security vulnerabilities. Prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and potential business impact, coordinate remediation with IT and business teams. Monito and evaluate emerging threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and security advisories. Maintain vulnerability management tools and ensure timely execution of scanning schedules. Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership on vulnerability status and remediation progress. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure patching and patching and configuration compliance. Support compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP. Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improving the organization’s security posture. Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. Experience:
5+ years of experience in vulnerability management or cybersecurity operations. Hands-on experience with tools such as Qualys, Tenable Nessus, Rapid7, or similar.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls), CVE scoring, and risk analysis. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and container security. Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or related. Key Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and ability to influence cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
