OFF Thurs/Fri/Sun 4pm-3am Position Summary: The Material Handler 2 in Shipping & Receiving is responsible for picking and unloading product rapidly, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. The Material Handler 2 in Shipping & Receiving is also responsible for all line feeder and finished rotator responsibilities. What You Will Do: Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes. Rotate product by date in the storage cooler while staying in rotation and picking the correct product based on age. Pick orders and stage by route. Responsible for loading the product onto the correct truck in the correct sequence to ensure the customer receives their product. Locate products in the JDE/DSI system into the designated location using a scanner. Ensure all orders are picked on correct pallets (iGPS, Chep, White wood) and wrap pallets. Move finished goods from production to the cooler and ensure proper product temperature. Inspect trailers for any odor or holes and confirm the chute is clean. Ensure trailers are locked in the dock door. Perform other duties as assigned. What you will Need: GED/High School Diploma. 1-3 years of forklift experience (some positions require stand-up forklift experience). Ability to read, write and speak English; comprehension of basic math. Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment. Demonstrated ability to have good judgment. Physical Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Compensation & Benefits: We offer a competitive starting rate of $21.60/hr commensurate with experience and qualifications.
